St. Mary’s Scholar Symposium

Link to register for the CLE

The focus of the 2012 Symposium is on the practical aspects of immigration law and the current policy debates that surround the field. Major topics to be addressed at the symposium include: the intersection of criminal law and immigration, religious asylum, family based immigration practice, military service as a path to citizenship, employment based immigration, employer sanctions, and the constitutional concerns associated with a State’s ability to regulate immigration. It is our goal to provide a strong CLE for practitioners and an engaging educational experience for current law students. The keynote speaker is Professor Michael A. Olivas, President of the American Association of Law Schools.
