Caroline Duble joined the ACLU of Texas in the summer of 2015 to serve as a Community Organizer in the Houston area. Prior to her work with the ACLU, she studied sociology at Warren Wilson College and worked as a rural community organizer in North Carolina. Her engagement in justice and equity work began in high school, when she became heavily involved in the LGBT rights movement. This led her to deepen her understanding about social inequality and thus become involved with the greater movement for social change. Caroline is passionate about catalyzing intersectional progress by empowering leaders and listening to the unique stories and qualities that every individual brings to the table. As a proud native Houstonian, Caroline has joined our team to continue to bring people together in celebration of their differences and further her participation in grassroots organizing. Caroline leans into the tension that comes with community growth and change, and always seeks progress from a place of deep-abiding love.
