Ms. Palomo Garcia received her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Houston-Downtown and her master's degree in social work from the University of Houston’s Graduate School of Social Work. Naiyolis served as our Immigrants’ Rights Policy Intern from September 2017 through May 2018 under the supervision of Astrid Dominguez, where she led our 287(g) research project, created a 287(g) county database, and contributed to our 287(g) landing page. Naiyolis’ background in immigrants’ rights, community service, and policy analysis has uniquely prepared her for her new role as our Houston Engagement Specialist.
