Sameena Karmally is an experienced corporate attorney specializing in private equity fund formation and private securities offerings. She is the founder and president of the DFW Muslim Bar Association, as well as a former board member of the National Association of Muslim Lawyers and the Texas Muslim Women's Foundation. She is an Op Ed Project Public Voices Fellow and engages in grassroots political organizing at the local and state level. She is a strategist for Kanarys, a DEI technology services company.
Sameena earned a bachelor’s degree in biological science from the University of Dallas, an M.A. in Middle East studies at the University of Texas at Austin, and her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
