TreShaun Pate is a olicy & advocacy strategist for the ACLU of Texas, where he works on voting rights and volunteer engagement. In the November 2020 election, he helped organize more than 1,000 volunteer poll monitors across Texas.
Prior to joining the ACLU of Texas in 2019, TreShaun was the North Texas field coordinator at Equality Texas. Since 2013, he has been a volunteer organizer with the Black Trans Advocacy Coalition, where he currently serves as the annual conference program chair. He is also a member of Black Transmen, Inc., a national movement for Black trans equality, where he received the 2018 Advocate of the Year award.
TreShaun is trained as an autoCAD drafter and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he shot marksman for pistol and rifle qualifiers. He lives in Houston.
