End cash bail

Every year, thousands of Texans are jailed before even having their day in court – all because they can't afford to pay the bail amount to purchase their freedom.

This unjust money bail system tears apart families and neighborhoods across the state, and its effects are wide-reaching. Wealthy people can go free, and are considered innocent until proven guilty. Low-income Texans must stay in jail – separated from their loved ones, jobs, and communities.
