MaryScott Hagle is a native Houstonian, recovering architect, and serial careerist who worked most recently as the executive director of the Dawn Mountain Center for Tibetan Buddhism in Houston. She holds a degree in philosophy from Wellesley College and an M. Arch. from the University of Texas at Austin. MaryScott has taught high school English, yoga, NIA, visual art, woodworking, and swimming, and she served for seven years as the Alley Theatre's director of education and community outreach. She volunteers with Writers in the Schools (WITS) Houston, Aperio: Music of the Americas, and The Joy School.
