Bio

Mary Ibarra serves as a policy and advocacy strategist on voting rights at the ACLU of Texas.

Mary is an organizer with electoral experience in campaigns, nonprofit, and committee efforts. She has previously managed federal and city races in Texas and organized with national organizations like Voto Latino and Swing Left. Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, she moved to Austin 10 years ago.

She has a bachelor’s degree in government from The University of Texas at Austin. Mary is passionate about advocacy and organizing for public policy that achieves equity in our communities and strongly believes in bringing as many underrepresented voices to the table as possible.
