Bio

Carunya (Caro) Achar serves as the Engagement Coordinator for Free Speech & Pluralism at the ACLU of Texas.

Caro received her Bachelor's in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and her Master's in Social Work from the University of Houston. She has experience in both union organizing and community organizing at National Nurses United and Labor Network for Sustainability, respectively.

Caro is enthusiastic about bringing her organizing expertise and passion for community care to the ACLU of Texas. Both her personal and professional endeavors are soundtracked by fellow Houstonian and national treasure, Beyoncé.
