Oppose: This bill re-introduces a lot of the provisions of the voter suppression legislation from the regular session, including further restrictions on voting by mail, a ban on drive-thru voting, and the empowerment of partisan poll watchers.

Update August 27, 2021: SB 1 was passed favorably by the Senate and sent to the House. The House Constitutional Rights & Remedies committee then held a hearing on Aug. 23 and voted in favor of the bill. It was then passed favorably by the full House.
