Born in Guam and raised in Texas, Desireé is passionate about community building, pleasure activism, and dismantling the prison industrial complex. In her role at the ACLU of Texas, she is responsible for managing the organization’s social media presence.
Desireé graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in communications and a minor in business administration. Prior to joining the ACLU of Texas in 2021, she managed digital communications at Make-A-Wish North Texas and Parkland Foundation.
Outside of her work, she is a proud auntie who enjoys farmers' markets and curating playlists.
