Bio

Tonya Bradley has been an integral part of the ACLU of Texas since 2018, evolving through roles that include development assistant, development operations associate, and special projects strategist. In her current role as strategic planning and project manager, Tonya is the principal person behind the organization's strategic planning efforts and manages both tactical and long-term projects.

Before joining the ACLU of Texas, Tonya honed her skills in development and operations at noted organizations such as Covenant House and Ronald McDonald House. She also brings experience as a paralegal across municipal government, health care, and the oil and gas sectors, and ran her own marketing and communications firm. A passionate advocate for health and wellness, she is a distance running coach and board member for Active Resolute Connected.

Tonya holds a bachelor's degree in public affairs with a pre-law minor from Texas Southern University, a master's degree with a health care concentration from Marist College (where she received the School of Management's highest honor), and a graduate certificate in African American Studies from the University of Houston.

With a deep commitment to racial equity, womanism, and addressing health disparities, Tonya is a tireless advocate for social justice. As an ultramarathoner, she combines her passion for endurance sports with her love for travel, often taking "runcations" to explore new parts of the world.
