Trans Kids Back to School

The Esperanza Peace and Justice Center will be hosting the Son Tus Niñ@s También: Trans Kids Back To School event on Saturday August 13 from 6 to 9pm. Speakers and panelists will include parents of trans children, school administrators, teachers and legal experts. Panelists will speak about the legal rights of trans children and parents, procedures for school teachers and administrators, just in time for the 2016-2017 school year. Our Statewide Advocacy Manager, Vic Cornell, will be giving a presentation on LGBTQ expression in Texas public schools, as well as tabling throughout the event. Learn more about the event here.
