David Donatti, a native Houstonian, is a senior staff attorney in the ACLU of Texas' legal department. David joined the ACLU of Texas in January 2019.
Before joining the ACLU of Texas, David worked in international dispute resolution. He holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Investigators Confirm No Drugs Found in Van of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston ICE Shooting
HOUSTON — Laboratory testing has confirmed that the white powder seized from Lorenzo Salgado Araujo’s van — which was the subject of an unusual, unsealed DOJ search warrant — is not drugs. Mr. Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by ICE in Houston’s East End on July 7 while driving to work. The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas has been retained by the Salgado family to represent them.
