Samantha recently graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she majored in electrical engineering and computer science along with political science. She was awarded the Undergraduate Achievement Award by the Political Science department and was inducted into Eta Kappa Nu and Phi Beta Kappa upon graduation. As an undergraduate, Samantha spent her time exploring the political world by interning at GQR research, working as a research assistant analyzing the spread of political misinformation, and conducting her own survey experiment researching the impact of implicit bias on public opinion of the welfare state.

In the long term, Samantha plans on returning to Texas to advocate for marginalized communities and will attend Yale Law School following the Weil Legal Innovators Program.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys binge watching reality TV, volunteering at the animal shelter, and road trips.
