This month, the Supreme Court will deliver a decision on Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt, the case on Texas's House Bill 2.
Notably, this is the largest abortion case put before the Supreme Court since Planned Parenthood v. Casey in 1992, and the Court's decision will impact several other states' similar restrictions on abortion access.
In response to this historic decision, the community will come together for an event at 5:30pm @ Scholz in Austin that will take place on the day of that decision. Community members will have the opportunity to hear from a representative of Whole Woman's Health, the lead plaintiff in the case, as well as other leaders working in reproductive health, rights, and justice.
The exact date and time of the decision will NOT be announced beforehand, but we are anticipating the decision to take place on one Monday of this month. Please stay tuned and invite your friends!
No matter what the Supreme Court decides, the fight is far from over and we must carry the momentum we've built over the last few years into the next stages of our fight for reproductive rights in Texas.
