HOUSTON — Houston City Council voted Wednesday 13 – 4 to approve Item 11 on the Council agenda. The ordinance is an effective repeal of Proposition A and may allow for increased collaboration between ICE and the Houston Police Department.

The language for Item 11 on the Houston City Council agenda was released Tuesday regarding Houston's immigration ordinance. There will be a vote Wednesday on the future of the ordinance.

HOUSTON — The governor's office said Monday that the state would withhold $110 million in public safety funding from the City of Houston — which includes funding for the Houston Police Department — unless the City of Houston repeals a newly passed city ordinance by April 20.
